Walker says, “it’s funded by private donors.” But that should be taken as White House spin for now, since we don’t know what the total cost will be, nor how much the private donors are giving.
well, that's awkward

I'd like to know how much it's going to cost the American people to heat a room of that size year after year. A room that will only be used for state dinners. How many times a year are state banquets held?

I was seriously considering up for Paramount after I dropped my cable. But after seeing their sellout to Trump, I'd much rather put my my money into PBS.

Obviously a lasting peace would be great. And obviously there is zero reason to think that that is what we will see this summer.

Why did Congressional Republicans jam through an unpopular budget with the largest Medicaid cuts in history?

It could be because nearly 70% of them would financially benefit from the bill's extension of Trump's tax cuts for the rich.

Reverse Robin Hood.

Do we even know if he is alive?
The attorney for Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man who was accidentally deported to El Salvador, says that him and the family have not been able to contact him and don't know his current condition.

Absolutely unacceptable!

Bring him HOME!

While the wrongful deportation of Mr. Garcia is winding it's way through our court system, one thing has struck me is that they seem to have done nothing to ensure his safety & well being.
At the very least, they should have taken steps to ensure his safety in that he'll hole in El Salvadore.

I'm old enough to remember way back in history, when GDP Growth in the USA was 2.5% and the Stock Markets weren't crashing, incomes were up, unemployment was down, and 16 million new jobs were created.

Oh, wait, that was last November.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.

4) Repeat.

They're trying to get away with it again.

Here's a thought: Instead of talking about raised wages that will keep up with the price increases and inflation, why not concentrate on LOWERING everyday prices?
Raising wages to keep up with inflation does NOTHING to help Seniors and anyone on Social Security or any type of fixed income.
