Why should I spend my whole life waiting for a person I'm compatible with when there are so many other things I could be doing?

I was always kind of surprised by how classmates spoke to their parents in high school NGL, but like yeah nobody is a monolith.

Jewish culture, even secular Jewish culture, generally just upholds deep respect for parents, and I find this an interesting difference btwn white Jews and white Christians. It's prob not always 100% true but there's something to it.

I love being Jewish in theory, but in reality, Jewish practice = doing things, and I'm not about that.
