We gain insight & resolve going forward. These were catastrophic yet preventable decisions by powerful leaders, which many of us were attacked for pointing out at the time. Refusing to critically examine our own side helped get us here & isn’t something we should be continuing or encouraging.

Well said, AG. The level of apathy is staggering. Just look at what’s happening in Serbia right now relative to the USA.

Yes, I definitely hope so 🙏 Unfortunately it wasn’t mainly young people who voted AfD though, but basically the whole of East Germany. It was the best results the far-right have had there since WW2, & why posts saying they were ‘crushed’ or ‘destroyed’ are really missing the point ☹️
