Is this historically normal? What I mean is, when Boomers were in their 30s accumulating wealth in the 1980s, were senior citizens socking it away as well, or is this a new factor? www.nytimes.com/2025/12/20/u...

Obviously going to be reversed by the next administration as obvious, blatant, illegal self-aggrandizement. Moreso than renaming Department of War. Now the next President can do a broad campaign of de-Trumpification instead of just having to pettily fix the name of DoD.
The Trump Doctrine is, essentially: “Who’s gonna stop you?”

It's fine we're in an AI bubble… unless something pricks the bubble. Top contenders: 1) Sudden leap in AI software efficiency 2) AI spending slowdown 3) Invasion of Taiwan 4) Major China slowdown. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/12/b...

Kathryn Garcia is Iron Man, she can do anything. She should make big swings, like convince the governors to unify rail lines for through-running and connect the JFK AirTrain to the subway at Jamaica. subscriber.politicopro.com/article/2025...

It's going to be a confusing post-Trump time trying to understand the bizzaro universe in his mind where going to jail for any crime means that you must have been persecuted by Biden. He's naturally soft on crime because of this mentality. www.cbsnews.com/news/henry-c...

1. Empire
2. Star Wars
3. Andor

That’s it. That’s the list.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

I still don’t really understand why Jack sold. Twitter was our monoculture, a truly global brand. He gave away his great contribution to global culture to be dismantled.
If you're trying to convince your friends to spend time on Bluesky rather than X, maybe show them this. X is not "the public town square" or about "free speech." It's "just what Elon Musk wants you to see." If you see stuff he doesn't like he'll step in to make sure you don't see it for long.
If you scroll on X, you are only being shown what Elon wants you to see. If you create content on X, no one will see it unless Elon wants them to.

Ray Dalio said today that the bubble gauge has reached 80%. But bubbles don’t pop until they’re pricked. It looks like the dot-com bubble sat at 80% for years.

I don’t know that we’re necessarily about to pop… but the longer we sit here without popping, the higher the probability gets each month.
