I’ve been thinking about Tron 3 since I was nine years old and I hate that they’re just having recognizers and lightcycles getting shot by missiles and shit. I’m not at all surprised but it’s still disappointing.

As much as I’ve poured over the Ditko parody/inspiration in Watchmen and obviously Rorschach in particular, I feel like I missed this really obvious spin on Mr. A’s “face” mask. All aspects of his character are in conversation with Ditko, and evoke his work at every turn.

Reading The Sailor on the Seas of Fate and Warren Ellis totally read this, huh. Without even getting to the multiverse stuff, people going inside of a giant, god-like being’s body like a disease in order to kill it and stop the destruction of their world reminded me so much of The Authority’s ending

I only recently realized that The Substance is a really REALLY cool adaptation of Jekyll & Hyde. That’s among other influences, obviously, but it’s really neat how similar it is to the book.
