I did read it…but I also know that AI is rampant in video game illustration and concept art. It is my field.

Well...it may rebound, but I, and every other illustrator I know, have experienced severe cuts in the last 2 years, and it's pretty clear it's AI. Advertising is definitely it's own beast.

It is carving pretty hard into the illustration industry, particularly at the lower end, where new people typically get their start...and that's crowding the upper end as well, and that's reducing salaries and time for bigger jobs.

Don't get me wrong: I think the kangaroo court "trial" against James Comey is utterly despicable.

AND I think that guy is in the "Find Out" phase from his exceptional 'work' to tank Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign. I wonder how he feels about the whole thing now....

Obviously, this applies to GROUPS. There are individuals in every group that have power. Also obviously, this DOES mean different people can make fun of different things. The rules of acceptability are not universal, and NEVER HAVE BEEN.

I think we have definitely reached the time where if you can't keep your head down, you need to think about how you're going to get out if/when things go truly tits up in the bay....and I don't think keeping your head down is going to be as easy as it was in WW2

Seems to me like telling yourself "this is all to distract from the epstein files" lets you avoid the fact these guys have always wanted to go to war with brown people in US cities, and they're thrilled to be doing it here and now. Calling what's happening a distraction is so insulting.

Honestly, for me personally, I get very little tangible benefit from ANY social media...it's all just something to fill my time.

That doesn't mean everyone should leave in a huff immediately, or anything like that...just be aware, any time there is management, the managed people will inevitably become a resource for the manager's use, NOT the people that management *serves*.

I got an account here, essentially, because everyone else was. I NEVER thought this would be a 'forever home', or that some form of enshitification wasn't inevitable.

When there is a management team, there is always a slide away from the needs of the users.
