Our concept for a fantasy magician was someone with an occult power to manifest things that their enemies think are impossible, but believe for just a moment. With that, we wanted to make feats that leaned into making unlikely things happen.
Lightning Strikes Twice - Feat 8 - Range: 50 feet - Area: 10-foot burst - Saving Throw: Will - It takes some incredible luck for your enemy to get struck by lightning, but luck always seems to be in your favor. A bolt of lightning strikes the next two targets to enter the area, who each make a basic reflex save against your class DC, dealing 3d10 electricity damage. If multiple targets enter the area simultaneously, you choose the order they entered for the purpose of this effect. Level (+3) The damage of each bolt increases by 1d10.

With the Magician, we were inspired by the Kineticist's approach of having spell-like abilities contained within feats. A Magician goes about using those abilities is quite differently, but we wanted to share a few choice feats to sell you on the flavor. www.backerkit.com/call_to_acti...
Hand Off, Feat 14: With clever contortion, you can convince your mark that your hand is separated from your wrist, allowing it to get up to mischief in your stead. You separate your hand from your body, which becomes a tiny minion as though you had the Pet feat, but this pet shares your Hit Points. The hand has the climber and manual dexterity pet abilities. You can communicate with the hand telepathically and effortlessly, as though it were still attached to your arm. You do not need to take the Command an Animal action; the hand gains 2 actions on your turn automatically. When this effect ends, the hand is immediately forcefully dragged back to its normal position at the end of your arm, ignoring gravity. If the hand is unable to return to your arm when this effect ends, you remain without a hand, and are no longer able to communicate with the hand; in this case, the hand will continue to use its actions each turn to free itself as best as it is able. Intended to start putting out hype posts to try and start building some momentum behind this project, but it is difficult to share content for a class when feats all have some relation to the core class mechanics. Will try and select some feats with particularly fun flavor and see how it goes...
