From down here Ana Capa & Santa Cruz are usually what we see. We can also see Catalina. In real clear days you can see Santa Barbara Island but it’s small & kind of far.

Santa Cruz is about 30 miles from Ventura. Ana Capa is about 15 from Oxnard. I think Santa Rosa is about 5 miles further than Santa Cruz. San Miguel is the furthest out & isn’t visible except on clear days. I took this photo north of Santa Barbara.

Because they have attitude and size. There’s an ostrich farm about 90 miles north of here and they are scary. I don’t want a big beak at eye level.
