Successfully survived a 10hr shift and dodged all the footy fans - I'd call that a win!
Speaking of the footy, we had a Foot-Ex run between Derby and Sheffield today, formed of a 5 car Turbostar. Non stop to Sheffield via Beighton no less! Here it is seen waiting to leave Derby

I know it's not train related, but I do enjoy buses a bit as well! I was free today, so I thought, why not go to Harrogate to ride on the brand new electric E400EVs for route 36! Stunning buses!

You know what, it's hilarious that #HS2 opponents love to say "why would anyone want to get to Birmingham XX minutes faster", but adding around 4 minutes to a journey time to/from Wales is an outrage, despite OOC providing benefits for GWML passengers. So are journey times important or not?

These new 555s look great! Definitely a much needed improvement over the existing old and outdated metro cars! Hopefully I'll have a ride on them at some point next year!

These new 555s look great! Definitely a much needed improvement over the existing old and outdated metro cars! Hopefully I'll have a ride on them at some point next year!
158861 was the first train in 60 years to go to Ashington again! I was very happy to be part of that historical moment yesterday!
