I was feeling depressed yesterday about how my skills in drawing, writing, and science have slipped since I just pipette for a living and deal with kids and ADHD messy house at home, so I guess we'll add failing pretend courses to my list of worries.

I put it in these silicone squares because one kid wanted nuts and one kid didn't and it was the fastest solution. A total of 18 squares, and I've already eaten 2 and want at least 5 more.

I'm so glad we got my youngest's kindergarten vaccinations even though he doesn't go to kindergarten until 2027. Who knows if those vaccines will have moved from "not recommended" to "banned" by then.

I'm so glad his doc let us know he's old enough.

Husband: finds me sitting on the floor surrounded by math worksheets. The kitchen is still not clean.

Like, I can accept all the storytelling & the anthropomorphic yet still recognizable woodland creatures, I appreciate that they don't give the women and girls eyelashes, but a placental gestation and live birth of a turtle? Instead of just waiting for the egg to hatch? No.

Everything else was cute.

I want to see it!

We need more unapologetically silly movies.

I don't think they would, as my grandma doesn't travel anymore and my grandpa is terrified of flying, but if they felt God called them, they might just do it.

My grandparents were so inspired, & I was just thinking, "Don't be so inspired you go on a foreign mission. Don't be so inspired you go on a foreign mission..." My grandma is recovering from lifelong anorexia, and my grandpa keeps her alive. They don't need to show their faith by going on a mission.

And then calling it the Covenant Path.

It's so irresponsible of the church to be saying "We need ever older missionaries and younger missionaries and middle-age missionaries! We need so many missionaries to pay to go on missions! We need our coffers to grow!"

Suddenly reminded of how my grandparents earlier this month spoke in awe about their 80+ year old friends being called to a foreign mission in Europe.

And all I could think was, "They're gonna die on their mission and the church might not even pay to have their bodies returned to the states."
