Kamala had her chance and lost. She has no real power or committed base to draw from. It is time for new Democratic Party leadership.

Agreed. It could take decades to restore the relationships and trust that we have had. But the United States is still a rich and powerful player on the world stage and if that power is used justly and wisely, we can still achieve positive outcomes on many levels. Climate change is issue #1 for me.

Trump/GOP is actively destroying decades of environmental, economic and democratic progress. He is trashing long-established alliances and moving closer to fascist dictatorships because that's who he is.
Trump is a loser. We will fix this when we vote in November.

Never assume or make gross generalizations. You are doing both. I don't know anybody who expresses any opinions anything like what you describe. Part of that is because all of my friends are educated. They're a bad actors in America and around the world spreading BS to fool uneducated people.

And how many are from fake GOP accounts, Russian bots or other bad actors. I spent my career working in tech and I can tell you that, unless it's from an established trusted source, not to believe what you read online without checking it out thoroughly. And it takes some tech knowledge to do that.

Anti-vaxxer RFK Jr., runs the Department of Health and Human Services. HHS is now saying that the polio and measles vaccines are optional.
I'm old enough to have friends who were crippled by polio before the vaccine existed. I also had measles as a kid in the 1950s.
These changes will kill people.

Those are not defensive Americans, those are Trump Americans and their numbers are dwindling. Most of us love appreciate and respect Canada as our neighbor. I've been there many times and will again.
