Security head (lovely lady in her sixties) said this is the first synagogue killing in the UK since the medieval era. The US has had some, but not here. Til today.

I volunteered security at the gates at the end, and there were many hugs and thanks, and wishes of shana tova. We'll do something for them soon. Some of our congregation have friends, family up in Manchester.

We'd been in services all morning when at about noon the head of security came in to tell us of the attack. Shock around the room. The day continued, but everyone was talking about it. Prayers throughout the day for them. I can't describe how it feels to be in a crowded room with an energy like that

Read this years ago, and it's been one of my most recommend reads ever since. Who doesn't love an excellent book which itself recommends other excellent books?

I'm afraid I'm only a learner, but you might try
להכות את אויבימי
"lehakot et oyvimi"
which means roughly "to smite my enemies"
But it's not perfect. Multiple different words are translated as 'smite' so you have a few choices!
