Somebody please kidnap Donald Trump in the middle of the night and put him on trial for his many crimes.

This. History is not dead, as the trope goes; it isn't even past. But most Americans are SO blind to just how deeply the current moment echoes with the ugliness of the Antebellum, Jim Crow, and Segregation eras.
They aren't just mad that Obama became president, although that did trigger them for eternity.

They're mad about the Civil Rights Act.

They're mad about the Civil War.

Look at everything they do and you should be able to guess where this is going.

I here posit that the lack of faith in science is not the fault of the scientists or their ability to communicate science but of the people who purposefully undermine science and the people who are willing to believe the nonsense.

May everyone in the Trump regime end up in jail for their flagrant crimes and their destruction of our country. That includes the Head Fascist himself.

No sympathy for Charlie Kirk. For his kids, sure, but not for him. The man spread hatred, so it's impossible to be sorry he's gone.

Someday in the near future, Donald Trump's tweets will be seen as on the same level of evil as Mein Kampf, and his utterances on the level of Hitler's ravings. It's not an "every argument ends with Nazis" thing. This is a literal comparison with direct equivalency.

Let’s be clear: deporting Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda makes no sense—it’s not his home country. Nothing about this process has been fair. ICE is targeting him with cruelty. This is the weaponization of government, not justice.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia detained by ICE during Baltimore check-in
The detention, which was expected, happened after Abrego Garcia walked into the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Baltimore for a check-in after being released from custody on Friday.

New research confirms what election experts have said all along: Noncitizen voting occasionally happens, but in minuscule numbers, and not in any coordinated way.
Despite grand claims, a new report shows noncitizen voting hasn't materialized

I'm thinking a Truth-and-Reconciliation style project will be needed once we oust Trump from power, and most the people involved with the current regime will have to go to jail, including Trump (forget the USSC's nonsense immunity ruling). Then major new legislation to stop it happening again.

Donald Trumo should be in jail for treason. The idea of a military parade in his honor literally makes me sick to my stomach. It's the very essence of fascism. This man is a pyschopath.

And then I saw Vladimir Putin on the news and realized where Trump got the idea he should try to annex any territory that strikes his fancy (Canada, Greenland...). (Should've realized this before!)

If the bloody tariffs are so bloody smart and wonderful, why does the Trump regime keep pausing them and rolling them back?

I stand with Zelenskyy. Donald Trump is a liar, an extortionist, and a puppet of Vladimir Putin. Thank God someone yelled back at Trump.

I brought home this photogenic love-heart eight years ago today. Hard to believe it's been that long! Penny has been a major source of comfort and support in tough times, and I owe her so much.

Working at a scientific research journal, I've already seen impacts of the chaos caused by Donald Trump, both direct and indirect. Science as a whole is being irreparably harmed, and our country may never regain our leading role in that realm.
