For anyone who is following me from my Facebook post, it was the firing of Commandant Linda Fagan that made me realize I need an outlet somewhere. This one cuts deep. I was active duty when she was appointed, and it was an incredibly proud day to be a USCG member. To see that day undermined...hurts.

President Donald Trump has fired the director of the Office of Government Ethics, the agency announced Monday. The small office is an independent agency responsible for setting policies on preventing conflicts of interest for federal employees.
Many of my Trump supporting acquaintances have talked about being supportive of immigrants who come to the USA legally.
I sincerely wish that were true, and that they understood how broken our legal pathways were even BEFORE this inexcusable move by the new administration.
