Far as Newsom is concerned he would never imprison or forcibly detransition anyone. I can't say that about ANY GOP politician.

Newsom's imperfect & doesn't agree with all trans rights issues. Obama didn't support gay rights, but he changed over time.

These low-income tenants were "ICED" aka a coordinated rousting of tenants by slumlords & ICE working together to invade their homes, interrogate/arrest, destroy personal items & important papers, force them out & leave them homeless.

There's a bigger play going on here. Slumlords coordinating with ICE to roust tenants, steal or destroy their stuff, damage the building so its uninhabitable. All to trigger legal expedited evictions, make insurance claims, and then sell to developers.
