i don't know why anybody seems to think corporations are not governments, or that we should not view them as governments when these are places that we spend - if we actually lived in an "8 hours each for sleep, work, and recreation" world - an entire 50% of our weekday lives in

but like, i don't think a kid who dreams about being an astronaut stops wishing they could be in space when they're 24 or 31 or 56. i think deep down we know what we love and want and care about, and we continue to revisit and refine it over the years into the diamond at the tip of our aspirations

i think a lot of people say you have no idea who you are or what you want when you're young, but i don't think that's entirely true, i think that's just cope from people who discovered life is more difficult and complicated than they knew and maybe, idk, becoming an astronaut wasn't the play
