Oh I agree it wears the kids thing on it's sleeve 100%. Probably too much considering the new series is supposed to be adult?

I agree they lean into the Last Airbender way too hard on the advertising too. TDP is fun imo, but the writing does not stack up to last Airbender.

I'm only up to the thrid season (sun dragon bit). It's been ok so far but I really hope it doesn't drop too much. I am mainly watching for Aaravos though and I think his bit is the later seasons?

I'll admit writing quality wise Maalzan is far stronger. But baby dragon + birds in TDP are adorable XD

I've been watching The Dragon Prince lately and it keeps reminding me of Malzan for some reason. Does anyone think they have some similarities?

Oh they can be a nightmare. That's why mine are relegated to the TWSBIs. It can be entertaining though when a non shimmer colour suddenly gains a mild shimmer for a page if I didn't clean the nib out properly.
