Is it a #valeg session if someone doesn't try to repeal Virginia's bipartisan ban on foam cups and take out containers though?? Excited to defend this popular, impactful law for the 5th year in a row! #FoamFreeVA #WildlifeOverWaste

Wow, the chemicals in this product only cause cancer and birth defects in California!

For real though, I'm very grateful for CA's impact on the supply chain and consumer protection.

Did you know 10 trillion preproduction plastic pellets enter the ocean every year? Simply put: this is industry litter that we pay to facilitate whenever we buy anything with plastic.

Plastics are problematic at every stage of life-- long before consumers ever touch them.

My hot sauces' heat will be scored out of five dachshunds this year.

Meet my new beauty! Black raven zz plants have been on my wishlist for a long time but I rarely see them or they are $$$$$. I got this edgy pal at whole foods for 7 bucks which in my mind is free for a plant.

The US Forest Service has begun the process to rescind the "Roadless Rule". Roadless areas like this one, adjacent to Douthat State Park in the George Washington National Forest or the Bear Creek roadless area, home to miles of the AT are now under threat of development.

Please enjoy the cutest lil cubs (& their mama) living their best life frolicking around my family's yard in Bat Cave, NC.

I booked a hotel and the booking site had the audacity to ask me for a tip. We're tipping computers now?! Cool cool cool cool cool.

And the approval of this horrible new build, makes clear there is a lack of taste at play in the process.

I am not anti development and could not care less about parking. I love high density and welcome it anywhere it makes sense. 6 stories in this spot is nuts. It's not about increasing housing. It's about selling out to sell a view. Church Hill, Union Hill there's a meeting tonight. #rva

I got DCR's native Virginia wildflower seed mix & have my first blooms! Partridge peas are easy plants that do well on disturbed lands. They grow & spread fast but also give way to other plants. True go getters without the agro ego.

There's nothing quite like the relationship between a lady and the pup she got in her early 20s.

First tomato harvest of the year! IDK what I'm going to do with them all, may need to get into canning.

Miss Magnolia had surgery yesterday to remove a tumor from her ear. Results: super cool new ear cut.

Today, she got to meet this summer's canvassers on a plastic pellet hunt. She's the most committed campaign canine the world has ever seen (& couldn't be left home alone just yet).

Lil bee enjoying some Butterfly Weed.

Butterfly Weed is native to every county in Virginia & great for butterflies! Don't let the name fool you, this is a plant you definitely want in your garden.

Note: Butterfly *Bush* is different, non native, invasive and provides little food for pollinators.
