My office break room used to be full of candy and other snacks all December long thanks to gifts from vendors and clients (and we sent our own gifts in return), but almost no one does this anymore. I wonder if this is universal or if it's region/practice area specific.

I'm meeting my mom and sister in NYC for a weekend trip, but because my flight time changed, they are already at the Museum of Natural History and I haven't left my house.

Received the final dismissal order on a case that was 8 months older than my 7-year-old kid. Sometimes litigation is a slow process.

We always get a lot of trick-or-treaters, but I think fairly decent weather plus Friday night meant even more people were out, because we had over 400 kids.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
