small attitudinal effects might still be meaningful—especially with repeated visits or similar exposures. But emotional responses are already large on first exposure. If attitudes were to shift significantly, it’d likely happen more gradually. would love to test that with a repeated design!

thanks! you’re absolutely right. some of the attitudinal results are consistent w/ small effects, but considerably smaller than the emotional results. for the museum, that may be a reasonable outcome: balanced curation may avoid polarization, even if it limits larger attitudinal change.
