We’ve been programmed to believe every issue has two sides. Left vs. right. Good vs. evil. But real life is messier—and centrism is the only path back to sanity. It’s not weak. It’s radical. And it might just save the country.

Have friends who are not worried about cuts to Medicaid, because, "We're not on Medicaid, we're on ?"
Here is a list of the different names states use for their Medicaid program. They might as well learn the truth now, rather than later.

On various chat apps, I get unexpected, unknown messages and unsolicited additions to groups. I typically ignore them, or report them as spam, if I have time.
I now know I should pay more attention. I may get invited to something important, like military planning.

The orange demented one seemed to think he was back on his crappy reality TV show. Truly an embarrassment to the world.
Trump thinks he humiliated Zelensky. He humiliated the United States of America. And he made the world a much more dangerous place. Mob boss foreign policy will not work. The Trump-Putin axis fully came out of the closet today.

Science doesn't care what you believe, even if you are president. Might as well declare that volcanoes are made of marshmallow cream.

For me, it’s much more about not having to wade through so much nonsense, including and increasing number of “sponsored” FB posts that click through to something completely different that what the post mentions.

I've worked for some good companies and a few that eventually failed. The good ones were doing DEI all along, even if that was not explicitly called out. Having team members with widely different backgrounds and viewpoints is essential to good problem solving.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs have been a hot button political issue for years, but why? In a piece for The Big Picture, Amelia Mavis Christnot used the lens of her own Ivy League education to dig into why DEI matters and why the right is so afraid of it.
Why The Right Fears Diversity, Equity And Inclusion
There are unqualified people getting a leg up—just not the people conservatives are whining about.

If they were serious about cutting waste, why have they not started by proposing elimination of the Selective Service System, since it does nothing and illegally discriminates on the basis of sex?

I agree with this article outlining how people interpret information through frames. But, I do think it's worthwhile to also note that some people constantly reframe, while others will cling to their existing limited frames no matter what.

Raw milk is one of those ideas that can really only take hold when people haven't seen a cow. if you see a cow from let's say ten feet or less you immediately understand the problem that pasteurization is solving

"Practice corporeal politics. Power wants your body softening in your chair and your emotions dissipating on the screen. Get outside. Put your body in unfamiliar places with unfamiliar people. Make new friends and march with them."

Let's cherish corporeal politics.
