Not getting your argument here. Point being is that wearing high viz clothing increases visibility and therefore safety. Whataboutisms won’t change this. If it’s going to be law then I’m all for it. As well as enforcing the rules for all, more education and 30kmh zones. Anything that improves safety

That doesn’t mean it’s pointless to wear high viz clothing. It’s a no-brainer to wear high viz. if people cycle around in black clothes with no lights and no reflectors then they’re basically invisible at night. I even nearly crashed into one of these guys whilst cycling myself. They’re suicidal tbh

One shouldn’t exclude the other. I cycle all the time and I wear high vis. At the end of day, you will never root out careless motorists and it’s your life on the line as cyclist. If cyclists are happy to die for their right not to be see.. (I come across many on bikes dressed all black at night)
