Last year's got a little away from me for reasons I'm not gonna get into, but that's not gonna change the plan!
But rather than obligating myself to do a writeup on everything, I'm just going to do writeups on the ones that interest me most.

It was because of visible overworld enemies that Tales of Symphonia saved my love of JRPGs.
Before Symphonia, I hated random encounters with every fiber of my being. I never beat Final Fantasy X as a kid because I would always run from random battles,

Enemy-on-the-screen style encounters are not inherently superior to pure random battles in jRPGs. It depends on enemy placement and map design, too. Both can be done well!
