There’s an exchange from the English Civil War that gets at the Earl of Manchester. Adapt it to our situation and it applies. The centrist may loss 99/100 but they will be centrist still but if progressives lose once or the last time, their posterities are undone.

Mary Jane is so iconic that people lift her design for literary adaptations of Paul Auster novels, as in Paul Karasik’s art for The Locked Room. The character is Sophie Fanshawe but the design is MJ:

Ditko created this squiggly silhouette for an octopus not for an orderly octagon.

Paul Dano was brilliant in TWBB.

Tarantino has made some good movies but he’s a terrible shitty movie critic with bad taste and a shallow view of life.

So basically it's a mess, where writers and artists are saying and doing entirely different things. That wonderful incoherence. The GW Bridge by the way was featured in ASM#48 where Spider-Man fought the Vulture there. The first time a big NYC public monument was used for a battle. 3

Say what you will about Letterboxd but the poetry of this review of a River Phoenix masterpiece is hard to beat.

If by some people you mean the original script of ASM#121 as it exists on page, written by Gerry Conway.

Thinking of experimenting with logo-design. I am tempted to keep the Halloween Logo as my new default. But I tried and tinkered with some alternate styles.

HONORABLE MENTION: IN THE LOST LANDS by Paul W. S. Anderson, adapted from a George R. R. Martin story. It ain't horror but it's got witches and werewolves and post-apocalyptic Mad Max zaniness. It's a good film, and Jovovich and Batista are a compelling couple. Also read no spoilers. Go in cold. 9

THE COMPANY OF WOLVES does that. We see wolves throughout. It's in a fairy tale world. It's gorgeous. Somewhere between EXCALIBUR and Disney's Snow White. Also Terence Stamp is Satan in a brief cameo where he wanders into an 18th Century forest in a rolls royce. A man of wealth and taste. 7/
