They should post the transcript of the conversation. I bet what happened is Trump didn’t really understand the speech and asked weird confrontational questions about his misperceptions. Carney then had to say, “that’s not what I said.” Which sounds like back pedalling to a narcissist.

(Not a Carney fan) I think if Carney was prone to privately back peddling major public statements, he would be doing something else for a living.
