Back to back medical appointments this week. Not excited to sit around the hospital waiting room two days in a row.

I struggle often with the idea that I cannot be a valuable anti-fascist of I cannot get out of bed. Often leftists agree with me.

Not entirely sure what to do other than keep trying to do something, which I guess at this moment means posting to Bluesky. I don't know.

I am still trying to get that book on disability & writing in a more accessible form. Looks like I may have to get it from the Am*z*n store (a free download?) just to make it readable from bed.

Paused the search for now to lie down.

Haven't gotten ANY reading or writing done.

“Through it all, governments and media grasped for any explanation that did not feature the collapse of public health and introduction of a novel virus that harms immune systems.”
As kids get sicker, media ignores scientific papers pointing to immune damage after COVID. Instead, parents are urged to “watch out” for unusual waves of RSV, flu, pneumonia, & more, while masks, clean air and the pandemic are pointedly never mentioned.

Kids keep getting sicker as evidence for COVID immune damage builds
As the press pushes "immunity debt" past the breaking point of believability, are parents ready to wake up to the illness crisis?

People have talked about the monetary crip tax. I think a lot about the time tax for access. And how even people trying to "make things accessible" maintain access barriers.

For example @jstor.bsky.social has the book CRIP AUTHORSHIP up for open access, but every single chapter is an individual PDF

I have two essays started. I am trying to find my old and rusty academic writing skills. They are in this brain somewhere! I used to write term papers the night before with great success...

Now where did that skillset go?

This is the biggest thing I am learning about trying to look ahead and survive right now.
I sort of think everyone should know a baseline of prepping stuff if only because it makes it so abundantly clear that no one person can, by themselves, be remotely prepared for life without government
