My ‘Art Goals’ are to focus more on: backgrounds, prop design, animation, and doing more fanart.

I also want to be more active on here as I’m not online too often. :,)

but I want to engage with the art community here way more :o

(2/2) Comparison & Reflection!

2nd image is kinda text-heavy.
Three digital artworks are lined up, each a redrawn image of the same character from different years. On the Left is the newest one, from 2025. A digital artwork with a sketchy lineart style and textured colors. A large burly character with pale skin, freckles, red hair, and pale green eyes smiles at the smaller character in his arms. A blue-skinned creature with orange fiery-hair sits on his forearm, her scorpion-like tail curls up acting like a hand rest for her. She leans slightly into him smiling with squinted eyes. The background is a pale turquoise with a darker border. In the Middle is from 2024. The Second Image is the same character, his design much more detailed, busy and unrefined. He now leans forward in his pose, one hand pointing the other in a fist. One the Right is the oldest one, from 2021. A very simple artwork with flat colors and a very stiff pose. A text-heavy image is a reflection on 3 different redrawn images of the same character in 3 different years. Titled: “Barren Redraw” - Artstyle Progression Reflection (2021-2025) The First Image is in the top-left corner, it’s small, square, and a very simple pose of a character. Title: Oldest: 2021 - April 24th Description: My starting point: I still use the same: Tools: IPad / Finger Software: Ibispaint I was born with hypotonia, holding pencils/utensils/etc has always been difficult & painful. This got worse through my life, but I’ve been able to draw thanks to touchscreen :) I can’t really use pen pressure, so I later leaned into a sketchy ‘storybook’ artstyle. The Second Image is the same character, his design much more detailed, busy and unrefined. He now leans forward in his pose. Title: 2024 - September 29th Description: Artstyle Emergence/Experimenting: -Designs became more detailed, but messy. -Anatomy becoming less cartoony, more stylized approach + muted colors. -Excessive detail/Textures: not in a positive stylistic Maximalist way. The Third and Largest Image on the right side is the newest one, the character now holds a second smaller character in his arms. Title: Newest: 2025 - November 25th Description: I think my art’s stylized anatomy had a big leap in improvement this year. Ember’s here now to ‘inform’ the leaning pose, illustrate his character’s scale, and to add emotional context. Best Friends :D There’s always more to learn and improve, but.I’m happy with my progress at this point!
