I accidentally ordered mats in two different shades 😭 at least in person it’s not so obvious. The cream actually looks better on the zebra print!

I only worked on the long frames today but I got the mitered half laps done with NO MISTAKES.

Ansel got spayed yesterday and when I got her back she was so zooted she stared unblinking at the passenger seat like it was her favorite TV show

Anyway today she was very unhappy I wouldn’t play fetch. Like girl you have! Stitches! You aren’t supposed to have this much energy right now!

I’m SO excited about this aluminum suitcase I found on marketplace today for $20 (!!)

It’s a bit big to schlep photo gear like I wanted, and I need to re-glue the lining. Still, I’ve been wanting to get a 24” spinner bag for ages and you can’t do much better price wise, even for a knockoff!

I selfishly want bluebonnets - they’re my home state flower and seeing them pop up every year is such a joy! And/or Entireleaf/Texas Indian paintbrushes, which grow alongside them.

My girlfriend took me on a bee farm tour for our anniversary yesterday and I got to hold a frame and try honey straight from the hive.

Then we went with our wlw couple friends to see taylor tomlinson. I didn’t know it was the religious trauma and queer show 😍 what a perfect start to pride month!

Mine goes on a quest to open every drawer and cupboard door, and when I stop her she eventually crawls behind me on the bench to sit in the corner I’ve deliberately created for her to hide in. She’s such a gremlin I love her

I made the crowned image above while experimenting with my new ad200 and 1x3 softbox for another photo I’m planning. Lots of power and really loved how the strip box kept light from spilling on to my background. I could work with less worry about lint-rolling or ironing the curtain.

My dad and I went out to the neighborhood lake to watch what we could of the lunar eclipse last night!

We got clouded out about ten minutes after totality started, but it was still fun. I have fond memories of doing this with all four of us at the same lake as a kid 🥰

Kibs casting spells the other day. His GI system is kind of working again and he’s eating and active. He’s also snoozing in his favorite spots again.

Vet is supposed to call me today to discuss his biopsy results and I’m trying very hard not to think about it at all.
