I'm clearly not in time for shark week, but I've finished this huge shark illustration! I didn't expect it to be this big of a project, yet here we are. It was so much fun to draw these sillies & I hope you love them~

I did not ;v; It was very crowded and my friends were feeling a lil tired by the time we got there, so I just let myself enjoy this area and sit with them a lil!

I had a really cute experience that I didn't even realize at first! My friend and I were there together and I began explaining to her in depth about whale falls. An older man was about to leave the exhibit, but when I started talking, my friend said he actually stopped to stay and listen ;v;

I also love the deep sea exhibit at Monterrey Bay Aquarium, specifically the part with the whale fall, hydrothermal vents, and seamounts. I love everything about those biomes. It was my first time going to that aquarium this past summer and I was so excited to see that they had an exhibit with them!

Yeah that's understandable! Honestly, that's part of why I really liked it bc I haven't really played jrpgs often because they haven't interested me. This one felt pretty fresh in my opinion!

I was absolutely sold by the trailers, so I dunno;; but the game and story itself definitely has a lot more to it than the trailers ever showed which I find nice. And while the fight system can be difficult, it's probably one of the best in the jrpg genre imo.

I will say that I did once find a crab running around my parents' home. They don't live next to the beach. LMFAO

/it was bc my dad had caught crabs from that morning's fish, but I didn't know so I was SHOCKED

It’s back to gracklepalooza! A lot of the grackles have left on their migration, but there are still quite a few hanging around.
With his feathers fresh from the summer moult, this male Common Grackle, was foraging in the trees and decided to fly down to the creek for a drink!

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

I'm not sure if Tiarnach counts, but I'm really proud of how I coloured him ;v; His darker skin in human form would be closer to Jericho's (my unicorn character). 🥀

My characters Eeksha (L) and Elayaraj (R) posed as the Kiss by Gustav Klimt, framed by golden shower flowers and in the foreground, lily pads and water lilies. Both of them are wearing gold accessories while Eeksha is in a golden geometric patterned robe to represent the robe in the original art by Gustav Klimt. Eeksha is the one leaning down to kiss Elayaraj's cheek.

My original character, Elayaraj is a Kinnara. He's laying on the ground with a hand to his throat and his other hand pulling open his chest to reveal lungs, wrapped in vines. There are wisteria growing out of his lung cavity and between the fingers on his throat and out of his mouth. He's suffering hanahaki disease. The illustration is bordered by wisteria, as if peering through to see him. A peacock slumbers next to him.

My unicorn OC, Jericho. Her skin is a intense black, like the night sky and her hair. eyebrows, and eyelashes are bright white like the clouds or freshly fallen snow. She has a deep red lip color and her unicorn horn and unicorn ear are black. Her horn has a white spiral around it.

My Sylvari character, Tiarnach. It's a portrait of him facing front and his head tilted down slightly. He has a solemn expression and is missing his left eye. In place of it, a red spider lily flower is growing. His hair is long and made of vine plants, tied up into a high ponytail.
