It makes a cleaner looking edge. And it can be easier when joining pieces together.

I should have made it clear in the post that funding has not yet been withdrawn, but with the cancellation of meetings, it is a real concern.

It’s a great project for mindless knitting. And it really didn’t take all that long, despite the small yarn and miles of stockinette.

Now that sounds like a fun knitting group!

They felt our skills would be better put to use teaching STEM. Ummm… I wasn’t trained in science, technology, engineering, or math.

I used to be a reading teacher at the elementary level. Some years ago the district I worked in eliminated all reading teacher and librarian positions because we “weren’t necessary” and replaced us with part-time tutors and clerks.

Unsurprisingly, our scores went to last place in the state.

I’m not sure I actually read this when I was a kid. The movie, however, I will never forget. Definitely not one for young kids!
