Built my #cats their Christmas castle today. I’m laying odds it won’t outlast the new year before they destroy it. But, whatever. They love doing that, so, Merry Christmas to them!

It’s grading time! Remembering one semester where I made a math error that dropped all students’ final grades by 1/3 (think B- to C+). I had to do grade changes for like 20/22 students. God bless those 2 solid Bs. Well off to it! #AcademicSky #grading #cat in a chest of drawers just for fun.

#UngradingChat Q2. The only thing I've done so far, since this is my first semester giving it a go, is a kind of contract grading: the Guaranteed B in my comp. So far, it is going well. (I'll really know once students complete the course.) Next term, I'm trying it in a lit class, too.

My grading philosophy is that I'm just starting out with ungrading in classes this semester, and I'm learning a lot and excited to learn more. I'm also going to add it to a non-composition class for the first time next semester! #UngradingChat

This is our Christmas tree. Note the few ornaments near the top. This is our newest cats’s first Christmas. He already managed to get a couple ornaments off. I kinda miss our ornaments, but it is a riot to watch him play with our other tree-loving cat under it.

I made another Wooble. Salem the Cat. It was a bit harder, and looks it. His tail is off center, his ears slightly askew. But that’s okay. He’s still cute. Pierre still likes him. 🧶
