I would love to read other writers’ pieces about hades 2 and have a critical conversation about it but unfortunately I’m not very good at hades 2

As we hope and dream of an end to the most accute fighting, we dare to turn toward a future of building. Support Alaa as an architect, as an independent woman rebuilding her life against the odds of the occupation and the genocide. Please support her if you can

My family,my children have always been my top priority in life. They are the most precious part of me. I dedicated all my time and energy to them, until I nearly forgot myself forgot that I am an engineer who studied and worked hard for more than ten years.

I have gotten a lot of non targeted pitches recently which doesn’t help anyone, and with stuff I really want to cover I usually have to purchase it myself. Which is bad for the the influencer/journalist erosion as well as like, me personally lol.
emilyprice.bsky.social
I say this as someone who writes essentially a “column about indies” and “really likes indie games” yet still struggles to pitch on them, it’s bad!

yeah, i love to get pitches that show some familiarity with my/an outlet’s taste, and I wish it happened more!

I understand wanting coverage at large sites for indie games, that would be great. But don’t write off small sites because of reach, imo they’re more likely to see and respond well to a (targeted) pitch for something. The struggle to get an indie pitch accepted at a large magazine is real.

Hey all, I want to draw your attention to Alaa again. She's been doing everything she can for her family and now is crowdfunding to get some help for herself. I'm going to thread some of her friends' posts about her here.

"In terms of building a consistent and, one might be tempted to say, living world, Trails is eating everyone’s lunch."

@emilyprice.bsky.social digs into the social connections around food in the Trails in the Sky series:
The Cookbook Theory of Trails in the Sky - Unwinnable
Cooking serves the world of Trails as much as the player within it. It’s an irremovable part of the worldbuilding.
