Feels like it might be time to say this again…
Time for your regular reminder that

A) the Coaltion’s feelings about climate are irrelevant for the next 3-6 yrs

B) how much you worry about the Coalition is up to you

C) the more you worry about the Coaltion’s irrelevant opinions the less pressure is on the ALP to stop approving new gas & coal

I call on the Australian government to #RaiseTheRate of all support payments to a living wage.
This would be the single most effective way to lift the productivity, quality of life, and well-being of the whole country.

Gotta say I really enjoyed* reading ABC management’s memo to staff about the “hunger crisis inside Gaza”. Vaguely reminds me of what HRW said in Dec 2023 about starvation being used as a tool of war.
Seems starving civilians stop being too controversial & spicey for the aunty?

Understand the indignity of air dropping food on Gaza.

The March air drop killed 5 Palestinians. Air drops force Palestinians to scavenge for food like animals. This could all be avoided if Israel ended its barbaric blockade, or if world leaders had the courage to break it.

Instead, more genocide

People with such terminal politics brain that they judge everything not on the issues but on how it benefits their party can’t see condemning a genocide as something people might actually do because they believe genocide is wrong.

He argued the point saying we needed to know *the facts*, suggesting what we have currently from Gaza is not reliable. Every time someone says this they should be reminded that Palestinian journalists get killed, sometimes deliberately, and Israel won’t allow access to International press.

It is an obscenity that this woman sits in judgment over Australians while she defends the perpetrators of this atrocity.

Palestinians deliberately starved of food by the Israeli govt while this taxpayer funded, multi-millionaire sits in her govt office telling us what we should think about it.

Dan Tehan is on the ABC radio arguing for the continued starvation of the people of Palestine. Despite overwhelming evidence of the use of starvation as a weapon of war and a crime against humanity. What a grub. Beneath contempt.

Well now, if onIy some journos had been saying a couple of years back that Israel was using starvation as a weapon of war

It seems we're allowed to speak about Israel's war crimes without being labelled 'antisemitic' now that our PM has given us all the ok signal

I’m confused: did a memo go out this week saying it’s finally okay for politicians and the press to be outraged that Israel is starving Palestinians?

If so, I didn’t see the memo. But I did see the evidence of this war crime back in late 2023.

Where are we at? Starving is bad, bombing is ok?
