The Surfer was not what I expected 😂 but when I realized it was the same director as vivarium my expectations shifted. If, like me, you enjoy deeply uncomfortable movies with ambiguous endings and no clear resolution , it’s definitely worth your time

The difference between Bob and all the other revolutionaries in the film is that he’s particularly aggrieved by his circumstances. I think it highlights the fact that for the poc in the movie, revolution is existential and community is a necessity but for him it’s just something that happened to him
