And in that space, the worst people are organizing.

They’re defunding departments.
Targeting immigrants.
Undermining public trust.
Chipping away at democracy — in plain sight.

And that pause — that moment — has stuck with me all day.

Because I don’t think he’s alone.

So many people are awake. Aware. Even heartbroken.

But stuck in the space between knowing and acting.

So I asked the next question — the one I think a lot of us avoid:

“Do you know keeping you from doing something? From sounding the alarm?”

He didn’t have an answer.

Then I asked: “Do you feel something when you see people like Kilmar Abrego Garcia being targeted? People who followed every rule to come here legally?”

He said: “Yeah. That worries me.”

Yessssssss. From the ground up! Nobody is coming to save us, and we on the ground are the most powerful vehicle when it comes to enacting change locally! Ready to go (again! 😅) in 2026!

And by the way, the public school Raj attends is INCREDIBLE and I’m grateful for them every day.

ICYMI, *ALL* kids deserve an appropriate and adequate education so they can achieve their full potential — no matter who they are, where they come from, or what learning looks like.

Good in theory and on socials but I’m a county party chair in Wisconsin and there is plenty of room for *improvement* in our strategy on the ground throughout this state.

Let’s center & work with grassroots organizers who understand the current landscape and now how to execute to achieve success!

You know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking the same old tactics the Democrats use from 60 years ago don't work in the 21st century. All these old fucks ensconced in party leadership positions must be put out to pasture. Primaries across the board.
