i've written an article on how the group that went after itchio/steam's payment processors used the most morally objectionable content they could find to target queer and adult media and how they are definitely part of the religious right: mimidoshima.neocities.org/main/posts/2...

i worked with our director RJ to put together a web page compiling phone numbers, emails, and petitions where you can make your voice heard - protect queer artists and sex workers and tell payment processing companies to end their awful policies harming safe spaces for creative art

you know, maybe the internet shouldn’t be controlled by payment processors and terf lobbyists. and maybe people should be more concerned about this rise of censorship on queer media.

jesus christ, how is this day this bad already.

i am very concerned about this lobby group going after itchio as well. they mentioned it in their mission statement.

there needs to be more actual reporting on this group after vice/waypoint was pressured to remove it.

perhaps, a worker-run co-op could do this instead.

It’s 31st March again, a perfect day to check out 31st March, Midnight (proflilyvn.itch.io/31st), a visual novel about game dev under capitalism!

On April 2, we’ll also be releasing Spring Gothic, a new VN about a long distance relationship between a trans streamer and a med student. See you there!

I'm free. Seems you can't like or RT or trust anyone from now on on this platform. Because one day normal person, next day they will be reported and you going to ban next? It's that social network at all?
Another reason to stop posting at all?

Ohayou Bluesky. It’s cloudy here. Let me tell you about another trend among Japanese artists. They're moving to Xfolio from pixiv nowadays. Xfolio clearly says they ban all of genAI images, while pixiv is pro-AI. Many AIbros have tried to spam Xfolio, but they have been swept off into the dustbox.

I'll just say it; I talked with Shiravune prior to the DT2 reveal and they confirmed they didn't want to talk about it, because Steam is their lifeblood. They were worried about retribution which could have been decimating for their livelihoods.
I don't understand EAS's unwillingness to call out Valve on this. Shiravune didn't make a big fuss when DT2 got banned either.

I get not wanting to sour relations with Valve, but these games are so niche that fan outcry won't be enough and without a big fuss nothing is going to change

Once again Valve has banned a game getting a physical release on the Switch because apparently we still haven't reckoned with the fact there's some seriously xenophobic asshole that can control if your game can release on Steam with no safety in place for folks caught in the crosshair.
