Hopefully Arcane and future Runeterra shows help with making headway in changing this attitude, and that it can set a new standard and expectation for animated shows to be taken more seriously. Especially if it got nominated for a bigger award (ie Emmy)

As someone looking to do animation at university, it’s sad to see how the medium is looked down upon by many people, and even ignored simply because it is animated.

There’s unfortunately a large amount of people who refuse to even watch a show simply because it is animated (my father included, walked out the room every time I had Arcane on) even if it had a great story and is highly rated. Many people see it as animation = kids show…
