While working on my last game, Panoptia. I never noticed that the player's move speed was too fast, since I was so accustomed to the speed after years of development.

I wonder, is Apogee's movement excessively fast too? It doesn't feel like it to me, but I'm the dev!

How much content should be in a vertical slice...? I could keep working on it forever, but at some point I want to get feedback.

If I undercook it, then the feedback won't be useful, but if I overcook it, then I might need to revert so much!

Tried a makeshift room system that turns my large room into smaller sections. Somewhat paradoxically, splitting it up into smaller rooms makes the world feel much bigger. I really like it. Only issue is that the level isn't designed for this. Do I gotta make a new map?

I'm realizing the issues that come with having one large room in my game instead of lots of small rooms.

Not sure how to approach a Metroidvania-esque room system in GameMaker, but I might just push forward with the one room approach for now just to have something playable.

After progressing through the world enough, you may find some upgrades to Kaguya's jets. Such as one that allows you to jump out of a hover to get an extra vertical boost!
