Oops, forgot this one, which is the most Archer shot ever, containing both his water polo ball and Porthos

Lastly, we had A LOT of reactions to the content of the final scene on our pod, but the camera work was stunning. It's hard to capture in a screen grab, but Archer and Trip are in almost every shot, but the focus shifts between them based on whose emotional reaction Burton wants us to focus on.

This thread wouldn't be complete without the shot of the list of movies that Trip is considering showing the Cogenitor, which contains some fun easter eggs

Truly the less we say about what Malcolm was up to in this episode the better, but even these very silly scenes are shot beautifully with backlit lighting and symmetry.
February 5, 2026 at 6:55 PM
We used this as our main image for the episode, but it's worth taking longer to look at. It's beautiful with the way it's backlit and their reflections in the table. And the wide shot shows how close they are sitting, as their relationship grows closer.

This cheese platter looks so delicious, but the detail that there is an entire pineapple in the middle, which implies that they are growing pineapples on the Enterprise, is very funny.

I mean, seriously, just look at these two! It really makes it clear how small and cramped the shuttle is, but they always look like they are having a great time.
February 5, 2026 at 6:50 PM
All these shots from the back of Archer and Drennik in the shuttle are so beautifully done!
February 5, 2026 at 6:45 PM
I love the way this scene is shot, where even though they are sitting around a round table, the cogenitor is put in shadow, as though they aren't a part of the dinner party and are just an observer. And, the detail that the others have food in front of them while they don't tells you so much.
February 5, 2026 at 6:44 PM
I love the way this scene of Archer eating dessert with Drennik was shot. It's almost romantic.

First of all, look how kind of silly but also cool these two ships look when docked. On other star trek shows, we don't usually get to see ships docked like this.

Our episode on #startrek ENT's Cogenitor is out today and it was a contentious one! Trip has trouble getting his head around genders that aren't male or female, Archer goes on a romantic getaway with an alien captain, and Malcolm ...well, the less we have to say about what he was up to the better.
February 5, 2026 at 6:18 PM
Our episode today is a second contact mission to revisit the #StarTrekENT episode The Breach -- ya know, the one where a bunch of dudes went spelunking and then Phlox learned that racism is bad. Also, in our Mammary Alpha segment we discuss Trip's use of the word "ass."

In our episode today, with guest geologist @mikamckinnon.bsky.social, @mariadsouza.bsky.social tells us about the #StarTrekENT episode “The Breach” where the guys do some incompetent spelunking, getting Travis injured again, & Phlox treats an alien from a species that are enemies with the Denobulans

New episode out today! We’re on a second contact mission revisiting the Star Trek ENT episode Horizon. We are all just so happy to finally get a good Travis episode! We also have a lot of thoughts about how the ENT crew responds to Frankenstein. Plus our guest Jen Hathorn is back this week!
January 15, 2026 at 5:25 PM
Our episode today, with guest Jen Hathorn, @uajamie.bsky.social tells us about the #StarTrekENT episode “Horizon.” We finally get a Travis episode and meet his family. Also, there is a lot of Frankenstein content for some reason (but not the one with Jacob Elordi’s hot monster, unfortunately).

This is a 100% real screen grab from a Star Trek ENT episode of what the buttons look like on the NX-01 turbo lift . Very useful if you need to go to floor white 15 or AUX 030?
January 1, 2026 at 10:46 PM
We’re on a second contact mission this week visiting the #StarTrekENT’s Judgement and we have thoughts on this Kirkland brand Klingon court. Also, in our Mammary Alpha segment, we finally learn what it says on the buttons on the NX-01 turbolifts, and it’s weirder then you could have ever imagined.
January 1, 2026 at 10:35 PM
New episode today - EnterpriseSplaining XVI: The Undiscovered Continuity! where Maria tells us about the courtroom drama in the #StarTrekENT episode Judgement. Archer is accused of Crimes Against the Klingon Empire! It’s possible you might get answers as to how and why, but don’t count on it!

In today’s episode, we’re on a second contact mission to revisit the #startrekENT episode The Crossing and @scottsigler.bsky.social is back with us to hear what the rest of us thought of his bonkers explainer of the episode now that we’ve seen it for ourselves!
December 11, 2025 at 4:00 PM
It’s time for a non-corporeal body swap adventure! In this week's episode, our guest, author @scottsigler.bsky.social told us about the #startrekent episode The Crossing, one of the strangest episodes this show has thrown at us so far. It was metaphorically and literally quite the trip.

Happy Thanksgiving! The crew of EnterpriseSplaining is taking a much needed holiday break today from #StarTrekENT, and are instead heading out on away mission to visit the movie that all straight HS boyfriends were forcing their girlfriends to watch in the 90s: Highlander!

TeePublic is having a big sale this week, which includes the ESO Network store with our EnterpriseSplaining logo shirts and Porthos Appreciation Society Shirts! Now is your chance to show your love for Porthos, the bestest boy in all Star Trek, for just $15! (Porthos design by @enabuns.bsky.social)

On today's episode, we're on a 2nd contact mission, revisiting the ENT episode Canamar, which we realize is actually just the Star Trek version of ConAir (ConAirMar?). Also, in our Mammary Alpha segment, we learn about the absolutely bananas Memory Alpha page for “balls” (no, not THOSE balls).
November 20, 2025 at 9:42 PM
In our new episode out today, Bill tells us about the #StarTrekENT episode Canamar, a ConAir ripoff (ConAirMar?) where Archer confesses he's a smuggler (GUILTY OF BEING SMUG), Trip gets stuck next to That Guy on a long flight, and while T'Pol is in charge, everyone does their jobs competently.
