This is absolutely 100% correct.
You only forgive Nazi tattoos and “Jews control the weather” rhetoric if you never really cared that much about them in the first place and are pretty much only concerned for your own personal safety.

Honestly - I think it’s gracious of you to blame this on naivety or ignorance - I fear some of it is these folks don’t actually mind the other stuff she said.

Last game I watched was the Pats/Eagles Super Bowl (in which I was rooting for the Iggles in solidarity with my father and because we'd won enough, I thought).

I like the old one, personally, but also I have no skin in this game: I checked out on the NFL 7 years ago. Just can't support a sport that causes head trauma as a matter of routine to literally everybody who plays it.
