Pope John Paul II was a goalkeeper in his youth and a huge supporter of KS Cracovia - he had a lifetime season ticket and would ask visitors from Poland about how they were doing. Cracovia supposedly have a portrait of him in their locker room.

Smaller towns and rural areas tend to be served by Electric Membership Co-ops, which have their own relationship with Georgia Power, but those customers may not be as motivated by comms campaigns focused on GP.

A lot of the GOTV over the past year has focused on Georgia Power rate increases, and Georgia Power's direct customer base is in the bigger towns and cities.

And... overall numbers barely budged.

The 10 biggest blue counties represent 50.3% of voters overall (like yesterday), compared to ≈45.3% at this point 2024.

32.3% of voters are Black (like yesterday), compared to 25.1% in 2024.
