Did an Icelandic bind off for the neck. Ignore the fact that I still didn't close the underarm.

The body is a little long... Even with a tighter gauge. Idk if I should attempt surgery given it seems that's how the style is supposed to sit.

I got to leave work early so I finished the yoke! I have to do my neck short rows, a neck band depending how I feel, underarm stitch cast off and remove the provisional yarn on my cast on.

I feel like I'll look like a grade school teacher (and not mad).

Here's a progress pic of my #TerraSweater (Annika Konttaniemi) from Icelandic Knits. Currently 5 rows into the yoke. And I still have to do a three needle bind off for the underarm stitches.

Almost done with the body of the #TerraSweater before it goes on hold to knit the sleeves. The construction of this lopapeysa is interesting because there are two sections of short rows for the back. Really curious how it'll sit on my body.

This is the longest set up for a cast on but I think it'll be worth it! 192sts tubular cast on with waste yarn.

And learned my first lesson with lopi; do not pull too hard... 😬

This yarn has such fascinating properties. It was floating when soaked. And after like 10 minutes the swatch feels dry! Woah.

And the heathering is so beautiful. I'm so excited to get started on this.

Starting the swatch for my #TerraSweater from Icelandic Knits. Léttlopi is such an interesting yarn. Never worked with anything like this. It's very very hairy and both soft and kind of coarse.

Going to try a size up next to see gauge difference.

Did some more spinning at knitting group last night. About 0.5oz. The most consistent I've spun so far. It's like fingering to light fingering weight. Also, BFL is so hairy! Now to figure out how to spin thin without snapping...

Finished the vest! Need to weave in a couple more ends and block it.

Since I'm still waiting for a yarn order for my next sweater, I guess I can keep practicing my spinning.

Finished the body of my vest and tried a new bind off they suggested, the lace bind off or decrease bind off. Just need to do neckband and armholes. Can't wait for the blocking.

Frogged enough, I think, to make my vest (www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...) but will opt out of the slits. I love this color too (it's darker in person).

If anything is left over, I might make a beanie and donate it.

Onto blocking! Nervous about this step. I haven't had to consciously block a garment into shape. The body needs a little more ease. 😬 Will see the final result in like 3 days. It's so cold over here.
