These are real images of exoplanets.

Four super-Jupiters, imaged 10 times over 12 years around a star 133 lightyears away.

These are real, giant worlds, out there in the dark.

And we can see them.

The champions of Free Speech are now forcing scientists to retract submitted publications until they can be checked for the appearance of “forbidden terms.”
BREAKING NEWS: CDC orders mass retraction and revision of submitted research across all science and medicine journals. Banned terms must be scrubbed.

Goes beyond MMWR +other CDC pubs. Applies to research already submitted to top medical journals.

Take a look.

Two papers recently looked for signs of Dyson spheres by searching for infrared excess, which occurs when surrounding material absorbs light from a star and re-emits it as heat, causing astronomers to see more infrared light coming from a star than they would expect from the star itself.

In February 1995, a small research organization known as the SETI Institute launched what was then the most comprehensive search for an answer to a centuries-old question: are we alone in the universe? 🧪 🔭 👩‍🔬
One of the largest searches for alien life started 30 years ago. Its legacy lives on today
‘Project Phoenix’ was initiated by small research organisation known as the SETI Institute. But it was lucky to get off the ground.

Trump putting huge tariffs on major trading partners while pressuring the Fed to arbitrarily lower rates will have the effect of speed running the U.S. economy into a brick wall.

Last month CBO estimated the costs of 10 percent tariffs. But now Trump is saying 25. Should you just multiply by 2.5?

No. Basic economics says the loss from tariffs is nonlinear, to a first approximation the square of the tariff rate. So what Trump has promised is SIX TIMES WORSE than CBO analyzed

There are things we fundamentally don't understand about quantum mechanics in terms of the back-end workings: how a wavefunction "collapses" and what exactly makes entanglement work, etc. But we know it DOES work and we can calculate how. We're not out at sea with this stuff. Not at all.
