I just sent Cory Booker money. I will send money to anyone who fights, and I will not send money to anyone who cowers in fear. That has to be the situation, for all of us.

Interesting how the light enters the rectangle, off the gown to the table.
'In the Restaurant,' (1907) is one of Charles Hoffbauer's most acclaimed works. It was painted in the ballroom at the then recently opened Hotel Astor in New York City. The picture was completed a few months after Hoffbauer's sixth appearance at the Paris Salon.

Start socking away money for the second Trump recession, y'all.
Exporting “excess” products to the rest of the world and designing systems that preferenced U.S. exports created the postwar prosperity Americans have seen over the past 75 years. It’s going to be so cool when U.S. standard of living falls off a cliff and MAGA has no idea why.

'On the Beach,' (1891) was one of Maurice Denis' first experiments in capturing the elusive quality of how light moves on the surface of water; a source of constant inspiration as he focused on themes for pictures during summer holidays on the Brittany coast.

Thanks for doing the right thing, twice.

We need more like you, but like I've said before:

"Refusing to name this as fascism is appeasement. Refusing to act against it is complicity. History doesn’t just remember the heroes who stood against tyranny—it remembers the cowards who enabled it."

This is a great idea. Do you know anyone in Congress you can talk to?

Everyone should know about what's happening in North Carolina. Republicans are using Trump's playbook to try to overturn an election. I wrote about it last week:

Stand and fight
Discussing blanket pardons draws us off of the real issue, the concern that Trump will pervert the criminal justice system & use DOJ as a political tool, which is forcing the Biden administration into these considerations. Don't forget why we're here.

Morning Joe @joe-scarborough.bsky.social should help mend fences, have Maria Ressa on to discuss her book as she did on @thereidout.bsky.social about dealing with the raise of an authoritarian.

Wouldn’t it have raised less concern if instead of a “visit,” Joe and Mika did an interview with the don? A little light on the subject would be a good disinfectant to suspicions, rumors and accusations.
