While Spinal Tap hits all the correct notes to fall into this genre perfectly, I feel like it doesn’t count because it was so intentional. I want to feel like Dio, or songs by Manowar, were written by someone who believed to their core that these are the baddest lyrics ever.

Holy Diver is the epitome of this! The dorkiest lyrics imaginable, yet it goes SO HARD. Most songs in this space are aggressively mediocre. But Holy Diver is SO aggressive it transcends its own mediocrity. I love it so much.
