She used to be a contender for one of the worst units in the game back in the base version and OG Complete Box, the buffs she got in DotSD make her really fucking solid tho

Really, truly sorry for the out of nowhere mini thread. I've expressed before but this game is probably my favorite piece of Touhou media made. Period. So I can't explain how happy it makes me to see so many finally experience it's heartfelt wonder.

Really, truly sorry for the out of nowhere mini thread. I've expressed before but this game is probably my favorite piece of Touhou media made. Period. So I can't explain how happy it makes me to see so many finally experience it's heartfelt wonder.

And ontop of adding and writing even more characterization for NG+ 4 years after the main game had ended, the team was STILL working on getting a publisher and localizers for both a universal store front AND eventual Global release after seeing FanTLs first hand shows how much they love their work

And 2 Years after that they casually add in another Post game AND refine NG+ into what you've been eluded to with Carry over characters and somehow even more dialogue to warrant the second playthrough along side the exclusive maps of the protag you didn't play

In the 2 years they could of made a second FMW, they instead opted for compiling all the games into a master collection for Complete Box while also rebalancing the game for newer players given the OGs had already gained a cult following as early as OG Mystic's release

The other big thing is while everyone brings up a "Fantasy maiden wars 2", I think it's more telling how much the devs love their 9 year long baby of a project that they'd go on to refine a re release to a wider audience for these past 8 years since dream Arc was first finished

You're analysis as I mentioned as far back as Chapter 44 felt so nice and really opened my eyes to just how masterful this games writing is when it hits a very large amount of the time. Gave me an even further appreciation for just how clearly Sanbando loves Touhou/SRW/Gaming stories in general.

The funny thing is, promps for post game DO exist, but for some reason you have to load your completed save data (and it happens every time lol, the game even tells you you can't start ng+ till beating Mehko's arc)
It's kinda clunky, but yeah the radio silence is most likely spoiler reasons

Man... they really need to add a prompt to say you unlocked Side Story Sakuya after beating Scarlet huh...
Anyways yeah, after you beat Scarlet, you unlock a mini story in the Special menu on the titlescreen. Acts as a bridge between Scarlet and Mystic. It's not mandatory, but does fill some holes

I've said it in multiple replies to others getting to this point but CH75 being the last chapter not tied to the games OCs feels like such an culmination apex of all it's writing and characterization. It truly is something indescribable, kinda like my general feelings of the game in general

Ch75 is full of fantasitic quotes on the 4th spell card, Hell Reimu and Yuyuko get new pre boss dialogue after it too with them dwelling on Yuuka's points of Yukari's relationships.
But out of everything, "Yukari Yakumo.... You are a contridiction." has been burned into my cerebrum since 2020
