One major complaint I always see Scarlet get is the lack of character variety. But what people don't realize is that they keep you at 9 characters so that when Sakuya joins during the fight with Flandre, 10 people are to go missing like in "And then there where non". It was done intentionally.

With no hyperbole I think this is one of the greatest games ever made. Impeccably designed and beautifully written, it's both a perfect intro to Touhou and an incredible game in its own right. I loved every second of this one.

Meiling and Patchy having the longest talks with Flan on 44 makes perfect sense in both ways narratively as the former is who she goes to play with and is the most vulnerable towards in this game's canon, while the latter is the one who helped Remi in keeping her locked up for all those years

For startmenu, I reviewed the excellent indie Touhou strategy RPG Fantasy Maiden Wars!
Also I got very good at (unseriously) speedrunning the firs 43 maps of FMW over the past few days to get all the footage I needed. Low key it became very addicting.
Like beating Scarlet Arc in 30ish minutes is like my fckn crack cocaine now. Shit feels so good
