As Elon Musk's DOGE was just quietly shut down, a reminder that he & his DOGE bros saved us no money, but their destruction of USAID has already killed 100,000s of people, and will lead to millions of more deaths in the coming years.

No disrespect to my home county of Bucks, but the SF Bay Area is clearly the “epicenter” of MAHA - if any place could claim that unenviable title.

This sounds a little reminiscent of Saddam Hussein’s Ba”ath Party purge, when those in the highest levels of govt and military who were seen as disloyal were very publicly arrested and some executed.

I was messing w Open Evidence (i.e. chatbot designed for medical contexts & able to accurately cite specific lit).
I presented a hypothetical case of MRSA bacteremia, and proceeded to see how low a prob of endocarditis would still warrant 6 weeks of abx.
I think my job is safe for a little while.

There was no problem in California until Trump, Steve Miller, and ICE director Homan decided to stir shit up.
