I’ve played the audio only from this clip for some of my physician colleagues, and asked who they think is speaking. The most common response is some version of “a crazy conspiracy theorist on Rogan”.
It's so interesting to me how Makary conspiracy code switches when he talks to podcasters vs national news. This is the kind of stuff MAHA hears from the FDA Commissioner.

The FDA is no longer a credible institution.

The current FDA cannot be trusted to protect public safety.

I will not risk my patients by prescribing any new drugs that are approved during RFK and Makary’s “leadership”.

What a toxic combination of bigotry and pettiness.

A taxpayer funded federal employee is spending their time on this BS…😡😡😡

There isn’t much for our Supreme Court to hear, the Constitution is already clear. And just to be absolutely clear: the Supreme Court does not have the power to overrule or rewrite our Constitution.

Bad framing: ACIP voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for newborns.

Accurate framing: Anti-vax conspiracy theorists appointed to ACIP by Robert Kennedy Jr., who made a fortune as an anti-vax profiteer, voted to expose babies to a preventable, incurable, deadly illness.

You're going to see a lot of pixels about today's CDC ACIP meeting. The most important thing to keep in mind is that it's all a sham, it's not on the level. CDC no longer works for the American people. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is stocked with snake oil sellers and quacks.

From @lizzylawrence.bsky.social: a plan to further erode determination of safety & efficacy prior to drug approval. Robust evidence links expedited approval to increased number of safety issues. It's wrong & risky to prescribe drugs based on limited data.

FDA to lower number of trials required for approval of drugs, other medical products
The FDA plans to begin requiring one clinical study, instead of the standard two, for medical products before consideration for approval.

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure war crimes count as an impeachable offense for a Secretary of Defense.

This might be the most absurd HHS nomination/appointment yet (aside from RFK himself of course).

At least with Bhattacharya, Makary, and Prasad, they have CVs that are vaguely consistent with their roles.

But Hoeg as head of CDER makes as much sense as appointing me the Commissioner of the NBA.

Only the Trump administration could use war crimes as a distraction from a president’s child rape scandal.

If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

Serious ?:

With Trump's cognition so obviously impaired, who is the person behind the curtain deciding which billionaires & politicians get pardons?

No way is Trump making these decisions on his own.

Is the person calling the shots even a member of the admin, or is it just one of his kids?

Since Vinay Prasad is back in the news again today, let me reshare a video I made over the summer discussing how he went from respected albeit controversial academic to a useful idiot of RFK Jr's antivax machine.

I can't read this as anything other than a direct assault on the vaccine industry. Full stop. They are laying the groundwork to prevent all vaccine R&D. Not directly, but by requiring study designs for approval that are scientifically unnecessary and financially inviable.
Here's Prasad's full email, if you'd like to read it for yourself: www.washingtonpost.com/documents/30...

And I jotted down a few thoughts on my substack, including how the strategy of "asking more evidence" — which on the surface, sure, everyone wants more data — can lead to red tape.
FDA's big change to how vaccines will get approved
We obtained an internal email laying out the planned shift in strategy.

lavozdeanzaCristian Rodriguez, who was inside Bowlero at Westfield Valley Fair on Friday when the shooting began, said he smashed the same window shown in our earlier video with a bowling ball to help himself and others escape.**UPDATE** According to the San Jose Police Department, the shooting happened on the second floor outside the Macy’s next to Bloomingdale’s, not inside Bowlero. The shooting caused mass panic throughout the mall, prompting people inside the Bowlero to also panic. There is currently NO CONFIRMATION from authorities on the description of the suspect, who is still at large. See our other videos from the scene for more information, including an interview with the San Jose Police Department’s public information officer.Video by Gavin Rust La Voz staff.#valleyfair #valleyfairshooting #blackfriday #shooting #sanjosecalifornia #mexicanspiderman

When Casey Means finally has her Surgeon General nomination hearing, I'm hoping a senator asks her to comment on Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin's actions to unilaterally deregulate the release of carcinogens and other toxins into our environment and food supply.

On this Thanksgiving, I'd like to thank little 5 year old Resolved White for making it through that first year so the Strong Family could be here 400 yrs later!

It's easy to miss the discordance between that first Thanksgiving and how horrific conditions were for the Mayflower settlers.

Given that Surgeon General nom Casey Means discusses the dangers of PFAS-contaminated water in the book that made her famous, I'm sure she'll speak out against this!

🤣 Who am I kidding? When speaking honestly to the American people could sacrifice WH & RFK support, I'm sure she'll stay quiet.
"The agency also announced plans to relax a rule requiring companies to report all products containing PFAS and has proposed weakening drinking water standards for the chemicals."
The EPA is starting to allow the use of pesticides containing PFAS on food. The move is part of an effort to roll back the regulation of PFAS — also known as "forever chemicals" because they don't break down easily in the environment.
