We need secretaries of state of each state to make sure that firewall holds. They need to be working now to ensure that whatever last minute "emergency" gets concocted on 10/31 that gets troops on the streets does not prevent the people from voting.

The other truly horrible thing about this is DNI is a really important job that is supposed to be working on actual problems. No one is doing that job now. Tulsi was never qualified for it. But now that she's in the dog house the DNI is doing busywork.

Honestly, the only reason he was nominated in 2016 is that the GOP had ~15 people running and could not offer a unified alternative. A smoke filled room would have trimmed that number down to 1 or 2 and Trump would have lost in the primary.
